Home Center Kohnan, specializing in DIY business, has been expanding across the Kinki region, this being the center of our operations. At present, there are 171 stores, each having been set up as one of three styles, according to the products on offer. These three styles of shop include, HomeCenter, Home Stock, and Kohnan Pro. The ‘Home Centers’ deal with DIY products and convenience goods, for
the improvement of our lives. The ‘Home Stock’ stores cover
smaller regions, and are a type of convenience store dealing with the ‘Every
Day Low Price’ Kohnan products. ‘Kohnan
Pro’ focuses on building materials, and tools, for the professional client. |

![]() Stores based on Kohnan's 'Home Center' concept have a floor area of between 1,000 and 2,000 tubo ( between 3,300 and 6,600 square meter ) , based on a retail radius of 3 to 5 kilometers, and carry around 80,000 different products. Products are designed to meet the needs of general consumers, as well as professionals, and cover a range of areas related to homes and lifestyles. Our extensive product line-up emphasizes both high quality and low-prices. In addition to fulfilling the purchasing needs of consumers, our stores,also offer an information service, with our staff providing expert product advice on all areas of the DIY industry. Kohnan plans to continue developing friendly, neighborhood Home Centers that support rich and comfortable lifestyles, by serving as information providers to the consumer. |

The 'Home Stock' concept is a small-scale home center that pairs low
prices with convenience, to target consumers within a small retail radius.
The stores offer around 22,000 products on a floor area of 1,000u or less.
Store management is aggressively low-cost, and products from Kohnan's own
'Every Day Low Price' brand form a major part of the store's offerings.
Kohnan will be keeping a close watch over the growth of these stores, and
it envisions the future development of the 'Home Stock' concept into a
chain with over 200 outlets. |

'Kohnan Pro' is a new store format targeting professional customers from
the architecture, construction, electrical, and facilities industries.
In addition to establishing a pricing target based on a 20% discount from
traditional professional retailers, Kohnan is also actively working to
provide previously unavailable professional and institutional products,
marketed through a catalog-based order system. As one of Kohnan's principal
formats, the Pro concept aims to deliver a complete line of products that
meet the high standards demanded by professional user, This is in addition
to establishing partner relationships with the industry's manufacturers,
in order to function as a base fore the introduction of new products and
technologies by providing periodic demonstrations. |
